ohh, i love living in the midwest! it always makes me laugh at how curious we all are, and how so many fun 'rumors' begin...
first rumor to dispel:
NO, WE ARE NOT CLOSING THE STUDIO
i think because my vehicle is seen uptown so often in front of the opera house, that some may have begun to think i have closed my studio. THIS IS NOT TRUE! quite the opposite...i have been so lucky to have gotten the opportunity to photograph the opera house pre-renovation through now. it has been incredibly interesting to see the transformation...i can't wait for the public to see the many awesome changes for themselves.
the truth:
Kallhoff Portrait WILL have an office on the third floor of the opera house!
in an effort to make things more convenient for our clients, we will ( as soon as i have it finished!) be moving our orders/pickups/consultations to the third floor of the opera house. my hope is that this will help you all in saving gas in not having to drive out to the studio for that, as well, it will give you the opportunity to see the fantastic opera house!
-------------------
phewwwww...so glad to have that over!
now, a plea for help and assistance...
the Goss Opera House will be hosting the Bodies Human in 2 weeks...we are DESPERATELY looking for volunteers to help in the general cleanup of the building. this is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the renovation phase without having to have contractor or general building knowledge.
if you are willing to volunteer:
please contact lynn at the Goss Opera House at 882-9882 OR just show up in work clothes and we will put you to work! we will take any amount of time you have to donate to this grand building and the upcoming exhibit.
i will be working there solidly for the next 2 weeks, and then it will be time for me to finish up my sets (stinky weather is driving me nuts), and then it's straight into weddings and seniors for me.
ok, back to working on graphics and some super cool stuff for the opera house...
hope to see some of you there in the next week or so,
h
